Carina is a Senior Consultant with CEG Europe, based in the Netherlands. She is an economist with many years of experience advising on:

  • State Aid design and disputes
  • Competition Economics
  • Regulatory analysis
  • Economic Market analysis, and
  • Strategic analysis

Carina has successfully managed large and complex projects related to these issues for public bodies as well as private companies. She has worked in many countries and industries with her main focus lying on European jurisdiction and regulated industries. Carina has worked as economic and strategic advisor for clients in energy markets and waste-to-energy in particular as well as the communications and healthcare sector.

Prior to joining CEG, Carina was Manager in the Strategy & Economics team at PwC Netherlands, where she applied her skills by managing projects for clients in the Netherlands and on international projects. Within PwC she will be missed as an expert on State Aid & Competition Economics as well as Strategic Advisor to clients in international waste markets and other regulated industries.

Before moving to the Netherlands and joining PwC, Carina worked as an economist for CEG and another economic consultancy in London. She holds a M.Sc. and B.Sc. in Economics from Maastricht University in the Netherlands, which she both graduated with distinction. Carina’s is fluent in Dutch and English and her mother tongue is German.
