Veit is a Senior Associate at CEG Europe, based at the Düsseldorf office. He applies a wide range of economic and econometric analyses to projects with a particular focus on economic damage estimations in the context of commercial litigation. His sector experience includes consumer goods, energy, telecoms, waste, automobile and the financial services sector. His project experience includes market studies as well analyses of the effects of regulation on competition.

Since Veit joined CEG, he has provided economic analysis for an expert competition damages report submitted to the High Court of Justice, UK, in the case of Sainsbury’s. He also assisted in commercial damages in relation to antitrust infringements in a food retail market.

Prior to joining CEG, Veit was a Senior Consultant at the Düsseldorf Institute of Competition Economics’ independent consultancy firm. Prior to his consulting career, Veit was a PhD researcher at the Düsseldorf Institute for Competition Economics (DICE) in Düsseldorf, where he published on empirical analysis of competition and regulation in electricity markets.

Veit holds a PhD from the University of Düsseldorf, and a German Diploma (equivalent to an M.Sc.) in Economics from the Ruhr-University of Bochum.

Veit is fluent in English and German.
