Lorenzo is an Associate at CEG Europe, based at the London office. He focuses on competition economics and applied econometrics, where he applies microeconomics and econometrics techniques to advise clients and regulatory agencies in the context of cartels, commercial disputes, merger evaluations, regulatory assessments and state aid. He has worked for both public and private sector clients across a range of sectors including energy, retail markets, payment cards, telecoms, and financial markets.

During his time at CEG, Lorenzo has been involved in several commercial litigation and merger cases across different jurisdictions. He has also experience in regulatory and state-aid assessment in telecom sector. Most recently, Lorenzo has assessed commercial damages and performed economic analysis in relation to a pending litigation case on the LIBOR cartel. He has also contributed to the economic analysis in the context of the Italian Competition Authority’ investigation on the vending machine cartel.

Prior to joining CEG, Lorenzo worked in a leading energy consultancy in Italy mainly focused on gas and electricity markets. During his graduate studies, he worked at DG Competition - European Commission, where he was involved in a major antitrust investigation within the payment systems unit.

Lorenzo holds a M.Sc. in Economics and Social Sciences from Bocconi University where he specialised in industrial organisation and econometrics. Furthermore, he holds a B.Sc. in Economics (with distinction) from Federico II University, Naples.

Lorenzo is a native Italian speaker and is fluent in English.
