Nils von Hinten-Reed named as Thought Leader in the Who's Who Legal Competition 2019

Global Competition Review published their annual Who’s Who Legal Competition 2019, announcing the world’s most highly regarded competition experts. CEG Europe is proud to announce that our Managing Director, Nils von Hinten Reed, is recognized as a Thought Leader in Competition, further to nominations from counsels, peers and other market sources.

This recognition follows CEG Europe’s selection in the GCR Economics 20 for 2019.

CEG provided economic advice to online travel agent Prijsvrij in its successful dispute against a tour operator Thomas Cook Nederland (TCN)

CEG prepared an independent export report for the civil proceedings in front of the District Court of Amsterdam. On 29 August 2018 the Court ruled that TCN’s cancellation of the distribution agreement with Prijsvrij infringed competition law. Prijsvrij was legally supported by Maverick Advocaten and LXA The Law Firm.


A4E and IATA release new CEG report proposing a streamlined framework to effectively regulate airport market power.

The framework sets out a practical approach for regulators to identify which airports have significant market power and what regulation can be applied to ensure that passengers do not bear the cost of excessive airport charges indefinitely. The report is intended to assist the European Commission in its current review of the Airport Charges Directive.
