Elisa Flecken

Senior Associate

Elisa is a Senior Associate at CEG and is based in the Berlin Office. She conducts economic and econometric analysis in the contexts of complex competition, merger and litigation matters.

Prior to joining CEG, Elisa gained experience in the field of competition economics at another consultancy, where she advised on cartel damage claims. During an earlier internship at the Centre for European Economic Research, she applied her econometric skills to questions in the field of public finance.

Elisa holds a Master’s degree from the University of Münster and a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Mannheim.

She is native in German, fluent in English, and has good communication skills in French.

Recent Work

Currently, Elisa provides on-going support to a client in assessing damages incurred from the German long steel cartel and the information exchange among steel forges. She is also assisting a major Austrian construction firm in defending against damages claims arising from the construction cartel.

Previously, she supported the damages claim of the Veolia Suez and Wolseley claimants against the truck manufacturers in front of the UK’s Competition Appeal Tribunal. She was also involved in support of a large German food retailer in the context of the sale of its B2C chain. Additionally, she provided contributions to a major German car manufacturer in follow-on cartel damage claims concerning RoRo shipping. She also contributed to follow-on damage claims arising from the German pesticides cartel for several landowners and agribusinesses.
