Vanja is an Associate at CEG Europe and is based in the Berlin Office. He conducts economic and econometric analysis in the context of complex competition, merger and litigation matters. His industry experience covers telecommunication, transport, construction and cosmetics.
Prior to joining CEG, Vanja gained experience in the field of competition economics at another consultancy, where he advised on the assessment of overcharges in damage claims and on a merger cases in various sectors. During an earlier internship at the German FCO (Bundeskartellamt), he supported empirically an investigation into a merger in German food retailing sector.
Vanja holds a Master’s degree from Mannheim with a specialization in Competition & Regulation, as well as a Bachelor's degree from the University of Mannheim.
He is native in German and Croatian and fluent in English.
Recent Work
Recently, Vanja has expanded his knowledge by supporting the economic analysis for an international arbitration case regarding an investment in the information and communication infrastructure. Additionally, he was involved in assisting defendants in several follow-on cartel damage claims through the evaluation of potential competition damages.
