All claims dropped - successful defence against German cartel damage claim.

CEG experts Fabian Rinnen and Dr Fred Wandschneider advised a confidential defendant against three separate claims for damages arising out of the Confectionery and Sweets cartel. All claimants dropped their case before the oral hearing.

CEG provided a critical analysis of the claimant’s theory of harm, which attempted to link alleged cartel effects for three separate antitrust violations together. CEG then assessed the opposing experts econometric damages model, and showed that it did not allow to conclusively demonstrate any harm.
